Morning Prayer

Leader: But as for me, I will sing about your power.

Together: Each morning I will sing with joy about your unfailing love.

Leader: For you have been my refuge,

Together: a place of safety when I am in distress.

Psalm 59:16

Reader: The Son is the image of the invisible God, 

the firstborn over all creation. For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers 

or rulers or authorities; all things have been 

created through him and for him.

Colossians 1:15-17

Together: Our Father in heaven,

we pray that your name will always be kept holy.

We pray that your kingdom will come.

We pray that what you want will be done,

here on earth as it is in heaven.

Give us the food we need for each day.

Forgive the sins we have done,

just as we have forgiven those who did wrong to us.

& do not cause us to be tested;

but save us from the Evil One.

The kingdom is yours, the power is yours 

& the glory is yours. Amen.

Almighty Father, you are the creator

and each new day is your gift to the world.

Help us hear the heart cries of those who speak to us today,

Help us season our words with wisdom, too,

so that we might reflect the will, glory and hope of Jesus,

proclaiming your kingdom in this broken world.

And now may your Spirit be our light and shield,

As we walk the path of the new day before us. Amen.
